Pythagorean Theorem as a spiral! Who knew?

My favorite part of this lesson was creating the Theodorus' Wheel. I didn't realize the math involved in creating a spiral and I didn't connect it to drawing triangles before! I also really liked the video showing the actual squares of the sides and how they equaled out. I want my friends to know that the short cut or hypotenuse is shorter than the two straight legs when you are travelling!
